BCH Technical Services, LLC - Mail Configuration - Outlook on Microsoft Windows


  1. Open Outlook.
  2. Under the "Tools" menu, select "Services".
  3. Select the "Services", "Accounts" or "Services/Accounts" tab.
  4. Click the "Add" button.
  5. Follow the prompts, using the email address, host and login information that was sent to you, until the procedure is finished. Do NOT check the "Secure Password Authentication" or "SPA" check-box if prompted.
  6. WAIT! You are not done yet. You MUST configure your email client to use SSL. If you do NOT select SSL security you will NOT be able to fetch email.
  7. Your new email account should appear in the list under the "Services" tab. Highlight it and click the "Properties" button.
  8. Select the "Advanced" tab.
  9. Click the check-box that says "Incoming Mail server requires a secure connection". Do NOT select the similar check-box for the outgoing server.
  10. Click "Apply", "Okay" or "Done" until all of the windows are closed. You may need to restart Outlook at this point. You are done!
