BCH Technical Services, LLC - Mail Configuration - SquirrelMail (webmail)


  1. Open a browser (Internet Explorer, Netscape, Opera, etc..)
  2. Enter the webmail URL provided in the Welcome! message.
  3. Login using your login name and password.
  4. Select "Options" from the list near the top of the page.
  5. Select "Personal Information".
  6. For "Full name", enter your first and last name.
  7. For "Email Address", enter your email address.
  8. SPECIAL NOTE:

    Squirrelmail and other email clients, such as Outlook or Eudora, can be used interchangeably ONLY if the other email client(s) are configured to use IMAP and not POP. POP and IMAP have different locking mechanisms that could result in mailbox corruption. Interchangeable use of Squirrelmail and other clients is not recommended for novice users.

  9. You are done!
  10. Note that there are other features you may configure with webmail, but configuration of these features is not necessary. Please select "Help" while logged in on SuirrelMail page for assistance with configuring these features if you choose to do so.
